Breath and movement in Edmonton

Qi Gong in Edmonton

Learn qi gong properly, one to one, in a practice built to your body rather than a class you have to keep up with.

Qi Gong in Edmonton, Alberta

The winters are long here, and Edmonton meets them with a quiet steadiness. Short days, deep cold, a river valley that holds its own light through all of it. That endurance is real, but it can harden into bracing, into holding the body tight against the season. Qi gong loosens the holding without giving up the strength underneath. One to one, over video or in person, I teach movement your body takes in slowly. Through the dark months it asks nothing of you but attention, and it keeps a warmth of its own.

Edmonton holds its long winters with a certain steadiness, a northern city that knows how to keep its own light. Most people here start with me remotely, through the dark months and past them, and I come north in person when a visit takes shape.

I work with people in Edmonton remotely, over video, with the same care as a session in the room. For in-person work I fly out to Edmonton. A visit is quoted all-in at $2,350, travel already inside the number, and I gather bookings in the city into a single trip so the day is full.

I also work with people in St Albert, Sherwood Park, Leduc, and the towns around Edmonton.

About qi gong

Qi gong is an old practice of gentle movement, breath, and attention that works the body and quiets the mind at the same time. The forms are simple to begin, and they reward slow, correct practice more than effort.

Working one to one, we build the forms slowly and properly, so the breath and the movement actually settle into you instead of washing over you. You leave each session with a short practice you can hold at home, and it grows from there.

It is good for the body, for a restless mind, and for anyone who has tried to learn from videos and found that nothing stuck. Over video I can see and correct your form; in person I can adjust it hands-on.
