Breath and movement in Saskatoon

Qi Gong in Saskatoon

Learn qi gong properly, one to one, in a practice built to your body rather than a class you have to keep up with.

Qi Gong in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

The South Saskatchewan River cuts straight through Saskatoon, and its bridges hold the city together under a big prairie sky. There is a calm here, an openness the land gives freely. Qi gong works with that. Slowing the breath and settling the mind come more naturally where the horizon is this wide and this quiet. I teach movement made for your body, privately, at whatever pace you can hold. Here the country hands you the stillness for free, as open and unhurried as the sky over the river.

Saskatoon straddles its river under enormous prairie skies, a city that keeps its calm. I fly out to Saskatchewan for in-person work and hold remote sessions with Saskatoon through the year.

I work with people in Saskatoon remotely, over video, with the same care as a session in the room. For in-person work I fly out to Saskatoon. A visit is quoted all-in at $2,350, travel already inside the number, and I gather bookings in the city into a single trip so the day is full.

I also work with people in Warman, Martensville, and the towns around Saskatoon.

About qi gong

Qi gong is an old practice of gentle movement, breath, and attention that works the body and quiets the mind at the same time. The forms are simple to begin, and they reward slow, correct practice more than effort.

Working one to one, we build the forms slowly and properly, so the breath and the movement actually settle into you instead of washing over you. You leave each session with a short practice you can hold at home, and it grows from there.

It is good for the body, for a restless mind, and for anyone who has tried to learn from videos and found that nothing stuck. Over video I can see and correct your form; in person I can adjust it hands-on.

What it is good for

  • A practice built to your body and pace
  • Steadier energy and an easier breath
  • Gentle strength and better balance
  • A calmer, more settled mind
  • A short daily practice you actually keep
