Breath and movement in Kingston

Qi Gong in Kingston

Learn qi gong properly, one to one, in a practice built to your body rather than a class you have to keep up with.

Qi Gong in Kingston, Ontario

Limestone and old stories built Kingston, where the lake meets the river and history sits thick over everything, ghost tales and all, told after dark. It is a place at ease with what lingers, with what came before. Qi gong lives in that same awareness of the unseen, the quiet movement of breath and attention. I teach you one to one, slow movement built to your body, learned properly and in your own time. The work comes out grounded and a little old-feeling, settled into you the way this town is settled into its stone.

Kingston holds the lake and the old limestone at the mouth of the St Lawrence, a city thick with history and the odd ghost story. It is a long but easy drive from the Waterloo Region for in-person work.

I work with people in Kingston remotely, over video, with the same care as a session in the room. Kingston is within a drive of my home in the Waterloo Region, so in-person sessions and clearings here are simple to arrange, from $1,300 all-in with travel included.

I also work with people in Napanee, Gananoque, and the towns around Kingston.

About qi gong

Qi gong is an old practice of gentle movement, breath, and attention that works the body and quiets the mind at the same time. The forms are simple to begin, and they reward slow, correct practice more than effort.

Working one to one, we build the forms slowly and properly, so the breath and the movement actually settle into you instead of washing over you. You leave each session with a short practice you can hold at home, and it grows from there.

It is good for the body, for a restless mind, and for anyone who has tried to learn from videos and found that nothing stuck. Over video I can see and correct your form; in person I can adjust it hands-on.

What it is good for

  • A practice built to your body and pace
